Christmas Concert

There is no charge for admission and all are welcome.
The concert is followed by a reception in DeWolfe Hall hosted by the Parish Life Commission.
Since the announcement earlier in the fall of the featured musicians, anticipation has been building around the return to All Saints’ of harp soloist Yumiko Endo Schlaffer, who thrilled last year’s audience with her ethereal rendering of George Frederick Handel’s Harp Concerto in B-flat major. The Handel piece is on the program again this year, and Ms. Endo Schlaffer will also be heard with Dallas Symphony Orchestra violinist Andrew Schast and our own organist and choirmaster Frederick Grimes on Henri-Paul Busser's The Sleep of the Infant Jesus.
Other selections on the program include Johann Sebastian Bach’s Sheep May Safely Graze and Arcangelo Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, both played by a chamber orchestra consisting of several of the area's leading flutists and string players. In addition, the All Saints' Choir will offer interpretations of the opening movement of Vivaldi's Gloria in excelsis, and the final movement of Saint-Saens' Christmas Oratorio.
