There are no lines to learn, no rehearsals during the busy Christmas season, and best of all we can focus on the birth of Christ. Casting roles is done on a first come, first serve basis. The first Boar's Head Festival took place in Oxford, England in 1340 and we hope to carry on this Christmas tradition here at All Saints' with lords, ladies, knights, cooks, hunters, kings, the magi, shepherds and angels - all here to worship the one and only true King. The Baby Jesus will make his appearance at the end of the procession. The performance is followed by a medieval feast in DeWolfe Hall.

Working this week and the week of VBS is worth 30 hours of community service.
- Vacation Bible School (children 3 - 9 years old)
“Saint Patrick's Ireland”
June 20-23, 2011
This VBS will provide multiple opportunities for the youngest members of the parish to make a difference. Depending on where a child's heart and gifts lie, they may choose to prepare things at home for the church mission trips, collect pocket change or bring in supplies to be taken to one of All Saints' missions. The children will go back in time to 5th century Ireland to meet the people who brought Christianity to Ireland. They will get to experience Old Ireland as though they were there.
- J2A Pilgrimage (Grades 9 & 10)
June 6-13, 2011
This class has spent the last year planning and will spend this next school year planning and preparing their Irish pilgrimage. The pilgrimage is meant to enrich the confirmation vows they will take in January and to strengthen their relationship with God. This trip should not be confused with a vacation. All youth will only have one chance to take this pilgrimage.
- Mission Trip to the Texas Hill Country (Grades 6 - 8)
July 8-12, 2011
The Junior EYC will spend three days ministering to the elderly and homebound Epixcopalians in the Diocese of Texas. The work may include yard work, window washing, and clean up. Part of the day will be spent working and the rest of the day will be spent exploring the Hill Country. One afternoon will include swimming in Hamilton Pool and the other hiking at Enchanted Rock.
- Belize
The next mission will be Summer 2012
This mission trip is open to anyone in the parish in good physical health, willing to work long hours in the intense Central American heat. Families are welcome as long as the youngest family member is at least 10 years old. Participation in trip planning and fund-raising is mandatory.
- Kenya (Grades 9 & 10)
July/August, 2011 - exact dates to be determined
Because of the intensity of this mission trip, participants will be strictly screened. Youth must be active members of the EYC, have completed their sophomore year in high school, be healthy, strond, willing to work hard and, as for all mission work, have a servant's heart. It is preferable to have prior mission experience, such as Belize or Colorado.
