"To Love Our Neighbors as Ourselves." The Pastoral Care Commission seeks to
establish and maintain programs that help meet the every changing "everyday" needs of our parish family.
Each of the ministries listed below work together to enhance the physical, spiritual, and mental wellness within the life of the parish.

- Prayer Chain
There are two components to this ministry.
First, the prayer chain itself consists of volunteers
praying daily for the ministry of All Saints' Church and its parish family.
Secondly, the crisis prayer chain is available for people who need immediate attention by All Saints' prayer warriors due to a crisis in their life.

- Prayer Shawl
Volunteers knit or crochet shawls which are blessed and
delivered to the elderly and to persons who are ill.

- Grief Support
Anyone who has experienced the death of a loved one is welcome
to join the group. The group meets on the third Wednesday of
every month.

- Family Gathering
A network of small groups meeting in homes in order to create a
sense of intimacy and close fellowship within the larger church.

- Care Committee
This is a crucial ministry to families at the time of death of their loved one.
Lay volunteers organize and prepare receptions in DeWolfe Hall for families following a funeral.

- Transportation
This vital ministry provides lay volunteers to assist parishioners who need help in making doctors appointments
or need assistance in picking up prescriptions and groceries.

- Hospital Visitor
This is an important outreach ministry to those who are in the hospitals.

- Eucharistic Visitor
Lay volunteers are trained to take the administration of the
Sacrament to those who are too ill to attend Sunday mass.

- Stephen Ministers
Members of the parish who have been trained to give care to others going through times of stress, confusion and loss.

- The Order of St. Luke the Physician (OSL)
This international healing order has a chapter which meets regularly at All Saints' Church.
The membership is open to anyone who seeks to cultivate their God given gifts for the work of healing through prayer, study and service.

- The Ministry of Lector
A lector is trained to read the appointed lessons in the mass.
The common practice at All Saints' Church is for the lector not to vest but to wear "street clothes,"
sit in the nave, and walk to the lectern to read the assigned lesson, and to return to the nave.

- The Ministry of Worship Leader
A Worship Leader receives training and is licensed by the Bishop
to officiate in certain capacities, as outlined in the Book of
Common Prayer. At All Saints' Church the Worship Leader conducts
the Daily Offices in the Chapel.

- The Ministry of Eucharistic Minister
A Eucharistic Minister receives training and is licensed by the
Bishop to administer the chalice at services where there are not
a sufficient number of ordained clergy.
